Morocco Surf Camp : When Spanish surfers dream about their next adventure, Morocco often comes to mind. Just across the Mediterranean, Morocco offers an exotic escape with world-class waves, warm weather, and an inviting culture. For those looking to combine surfing, travel, and relaxation, nothing beats a Morocco Surf Camp. Whether you are a beginner eager to ride your first wave or an experienced surfer chasing the longest rides in Africa, Morocco’s surf camps deliver unforgettable experiences.
This guide will show you why a Morocco Surf Camp is the best option for Spanish surfers, what to expect during your stay, and how to plan your trip.
One of the main reasons surfers love Morocco is its year-round waves. Unlike Spain or Portugal, where surf conditions vary dramatically with the seasons, Morocco offers consistent swells along its Atlantic coast. A Morocco Surf Camp is designed to give travelers everything they need: professional lessons, equipment, accommodation, meals, and cultural immersion.
Perfect climate all year round: Morocco enjoys 300+ days of sunshine annually.
Surf for all levels: Camps cater to complete beginners, intermediates, and professionals.
Affordable packages: A full week in a Morocco Surf Camp often costs less than a weekend surf trip in Europe.
Culture & hospitality: Moroccan cuisine, markets, and warm hospitality turn a surf trip into a life experience.
Compared with Spain and Portugal, Morocco provides a richer cultural adventure while still being only a short flight away.
Taghazout is the heart of Morocco’s surf scene. Once a quiet fishing village, it is now a global surf hotspot. Here, you’ll find waves like Anchor Point and Panorama Beach, perfect for both beginners and advanced surfers. Most Morocco Surf Camps are based in or around Taghazout, making it an ideal starting point.
Located north of Taghazout, Imsouane is famous for “The Bay,” one of the longest right-hand waves in the world. Surfers can ride for up to 800 meters on a single wave, making it perfect for learners to practice technique. A Morocco Surf Camp in Imsouane is all about slow-paced village life, fresh seafood, and endless rides.
Just a few kilometers south of Taghazout, Tamraght is a quieter alternative. It’s perfect for those who want to focus on surfing without the crowds. Many boutique Morocco Surf Camps are located here, offering yoga, meditation, and wellness alongside surfing.
Essaouira combines surf with Moroccan culture. Known for its blue-and-white medina, lively souks, and windy beaches, it is great for kite-surfing and beginners. A Morocco Surf Camp in Essaouira is ideal for travelers who want to explore history as well as waves.
Sidi Kaouki – laid-back, uncrowded beach breaks.
Mirleft – rugged coastline with powerful waves.
Agadir – urban surf hub with easy airport access.
So what exactly happens when you book a Morocco Surf Camp? Expect days filled with surf, adventure, and relaxation.

Evening chill-outs: bonfires, music, and stargazing by the ocean.
A Morocco Surf Camp isn’t just about learning to surf; it’s about building connections, experiencing Moroccan lifestyle, and creating lifelong memories.
For Spanish travelers, Morocco is the ultimate surf destination because it’s:
Close: only 1–2 hours by plane from Madrid, Barcelona, or Seville.
Affordable: full packages cost half of what similar surf holidays in Portugal might.
Visa-free: Spaniards can enter Morocco without a visa.
Exotic yet familiar: Arabic, Berber, and Andalusian influences create a culture that feels both new and connected to Spain.
Spanish surfers often describe a Morocco Surf Camp as “a home away from home” with the bonus of world-class waves.

EXCELLENT Based on 205 reviews Posted on Emiliya MVerified Best experience and atmosphere Pro surf is not just a surf camp - it felt like home. Brahim and his team are doing such a great job of welcoming people, teaching them how to surf, paying a lot of attention to detail, cooking the best food we tried (literally, better than in restaurants!) 🍛🥗 highly recommend this place if you’re choosing between surf campsPosted on АринаVerified 🤙🏽 So much love to this place and people! I was at pro surf for 2 times and can’t wait to see these guys again. Huge hug to Anwar for his surf lessons, now I feel myself more confident in the water. If u r still thinking to surf, stop it and come to prosurf🤍Posted on Explore30043794667Verified Best Surf Camp Best decision to spend a week in Tamraght with Brahim. The facilities are top notch, the teachers competent and the food delicious! There is a good atmosphere, both for solo travelers and for groups. The price is reasonable and I'm already looking forward to the next time!Posted on Lukas JVerified Amazing Honeymoon trip to Agadir My friend Mattia and I went to Agadir at the end of August and it was better than we could’ve ever imagined. Everyone there made it feel like it was a honeymoon and was super nice with us. Brahim and Faisal were the best teachers and hosts there can be. We will miss joking around with them and meeting amazing people as well as the delicious food and will definitely be back. Can be recommended to everyone who loves surfing and amazing vibes. PS: Roan i hope the website works by next time Best regards, ginger boy and mustachePosted on Artur RodriguesVerified surf(ada) Pro surf Morocco Relaxed, open to questions and always ready to help with whatever is needed, whether it's surfing or how to find your way around Tamraght. Flexible and hospitable. Brahim, manages to make us feel at home. As he himself mentioned "You're my guest". And so it is. When it comes to food, after two surf sessions (morning and afternoon), it is undoubtedly a luxury to come home and have the privilege of tasting and enjoying chef Marloe's meals. It is important to note that, also prepared by the same company, the breakfasts meet all the requirements for surfing mornings. As far as facilities are concerned, nothing to point out. Spaces for all tastes such as a covered terrace - a meeting point after dinner - as well as an uncovered terrace - suitable for sunbathing. In case of extreme heat, the rooms can maintain a bearable ambient temperature. With regard to surf classes, taught by Brahim and Fazal, they are enriching due to the shared experience as well as the technical assessment of each learner. I recommend the experience, I recommend the stay and I recommend surfing. "Breathe, breathe and then catch the wave (...)" Good luck for the future, Artur RodriguesPosted on Tania MVerified Amazing! It was the best week of my life! I want to say thank you to my surf teachers Anwar and Brahim, to my yoga teacher Ola, to the cook Karima and to all the friends I met there. The house is beautiful, everything was perfect and the food amazing! The organization of the day was well done, surfing during the day and doing the best yoga lessons in the terrace at sunset. I couldn’t wish for better! Another time thanks to the prosurf team!
